HBO/Max and Netflix lead the pack among Golden Globe nominees in streaming popularity.
The highly anticipated Golden Globe Awards nominations have been announced, and it’s no surprise that HBO and Netflix are leading the pack. With 14 nominations each in the TV category, these two streaming giants are neck and neck overall.
HBO and HBO Max Take the Lead
HBO and its sister company, HBO Max, are dominating the TV category with a total of 14 nominations. Seven HBO series have made the cut, including "The White Lotus" with four noms, "Hacks" with three, and "House of the Dragon" with two. Other notable shows from HBO include "Euphoria," "The Staircase," and "The Flight Attendant," each with one nomination.
Netflix’s Strong Showing
While HBO is leading the pack in terms of sheer number of nominations, Netflix is close behind. The streaming giant has 14 nominations as well, but its shows have received slightly fewer nods overall. Four Netflix series have four Golden Globe nominations each: "The Crown," "Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story," and the latest hit "Wednesday" both have two nominations, while "Better Call Saul" has one.
Film Nominations
On the film side, Netflix is leading the way with nine nominations. Some of the notable films include "Blonde," "Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery," Guillermo del Toro’s "Pinocchio," and "Where the Crawdads Sing." HBO Max’s parent company, Warner Bros., has also made a strong showing with three nominations for its biographical film "Elvis."
Hulu and Apple TV+ Make Waves
Hulu is another streaming service that’s making waves in the Golden Globe nominations. The platform has 10 nominations overall, including shows like "Pam & Tommy," "The Bear," and "The Patient." Selena Gomez, who stars in the popular show "Only Murders in the Building" on Hulu, also received a nomination.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) has noted that this year’s Golden Globe Awards voting body is its most diverse yet. With 103 international voters on board, the total number of voters is now 51.8% racially and ethnically diverse.
